Ravi Shankar
Based in Bengaluru, India, I am the Founder of ‘Mental Wellness Associates’, a platform dedicated to guiding people back to their emotional truth through the integration of Vedic psychology, trauma-informed practices, and modern mental health principles. I write, coach, and create tools to help others move from survival mode to self-awareness and grounded clarity.
With a BSc in Computer Science, a Master of Computer Applications (MCA), and an MA in Psychology, my academic background bridges both technical and human-centered disciplines. I also hold a UNESCO-recognised Diploma in Psychological Counselling. Beyond formal education, my learning continues through lived experience, client work, and independent study in areas such as spiritual psychology, reflective writing, and contemplative practices.
My work is grounded in themes that feel both personal and universal. I'm especially drawn to reflective journaling and therapeutic writing as tools for insight and healing. I frequently explore topics like burnout, belonging, grief, and emotional exhaustion - bringing together ancient psychology and modern neuroscience to support self-compassion, inner child healing, and identity work. At the heart of everything I create is a commitment to gentle, grounded mental wellness for everyday people.
Looking ahead, I hope to publish journals and self-guided reflection workbooks, and to launch themed writing series, 30-day wellness challenges, and micro-courses. I'm excited to collaborate with aligned platforms like ‘The Room – Psy’ to reach wider audiences, and to continue building a compassionate, story-centred approach to mental well-being.
In terms of content, I’d love to contribute monthly reflective essays for ‘The Room – Psy’ or ‘The Green Space’, journal-based prompts focused on emotional growth and healing, and pieces for podcast scripts, interviews, or real-life story sections. I’m also interested in writing spiritual-psychology hybrid pieces - exploring ideas like energy, karma, or stillness in ways that resonate with modern emotional struggles - and creating 30-day challenges rooted in simple mental hygiene habits or emotional resets.
